Mr. Parsons is one of the founding partners of Parsons, Lee & Juliano, P.C..
After graduation from the University of Alabama School of Law, he served four years on active duty as a Staff Judge Advocate, United States Air Force stationed in Germany. After discharge from active duty, he served 17 years active reserve as a Staff Judge Advocate and retired in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Mr. Parsons is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the American Bar Association and the Birmingham Bar Association. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. In 1977 he was named Birmingham “Lawyer of the Year.”
He is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh and Fifth Circuits and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society and the Supreme Court of Alabama.
Mr. Parsons’ primary area of practice is the defense of all risks covered by the casualty insurance industry or self-insureds including motor vehicle liability, products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice and defense of bad faith claims and tort of outrage claims.
Robert and his wife, the former Suzanne Dryer of Fairhope, Alabama, have two children, Robert, Jr. and Ashley, and three grandchildren.
