J. Alex Wyatt
Alex Wyatt is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law and Spring Hill College. Following receipt of his law degree, Mr. Wyatt served as Law Clerk to Justice Gorman Houston of the Alabama Supreme Court. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. In 2007, Mr. Wyatt was named to Who's Who in American Law.
Mr. Wyatt focuses his practice on product liability, toxic tort/environmental litigation, and medical malpractice. He regularly represents a wide array of clients ranging from hospitals to automobile and chemical manufacturers. Currently, Mr. Wyatt, is representing manufactures of automobiles, excavation equipment, turbines, as well as blasting and other industrial equipment in both traditional product liability and toxic tort cases. Additionally, he is coordinating the defense of a number of defendants in their toxic tort litigation in Alabama and across the nation.
Mr. Wyatt also spends a great amount of time working in appellate litigation. He has successfully handled numerous appeals and motions before appellate courts. Along with his litigation practice, Mr. Wyatt has also been a certified mediator by the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution since 2006. In addition to mediating cases pending in circuit courts throughout the state, Mr. Wyatt is a past Coordinator of the Jefferson County District Court Mediation Program.
Alex is married to Megan Wyatt, and together they have a daughter, Riordan, and a son, Ander. In addition to practicing law, Alex works with various civic, educational and volunteer groups.
